Clydesdale MSP Aileen Campbell is meeting with representatives of BT to raise her constituents’ broadband concerns. Having been contacted by a number of constituents from across Clydesdale all having similar problems with their internet provision Campbell contacted the Head of Public Affairs and Policy at BT Scotland to highlight the specific problems and where there seems to be serious failings with the service being offered.

Ms Campbell said:

"I was contacted by a number of constituents who are at the end of their tether with the level of service being offered by BT, despite being on packages that promise high broadband speeds and in areas where the infrastructure has been upgraded. The upcoming meeting will be an opportunity to sit down with some of the BT team in Scotland and ensure that they are well aware of the problems facing their customers in Clydesdale. I will be looking for BT to help find ways to resolve these issues and establish clear timescales for this. Broadband and internet connectivity are crucial for 21st Century living and for rural businesses so I want to ensure my constituents aren’t disadvantaged."
