Aileen Campbell, the MSP for Clydesdale, has commented on the news that on 3rd of January 2014, the Number 10 local bus service from Carluke to Wishaw General Hospital was withdrawn from service by local bus operator, Stuarts Coaches.

Reacting to the news, Aileen Campbell MSP said:

"I have been contacted by concerned constituents about the withdrawal to the Number 10 bus service in Law - a crucial service taking passengers to Wishaw General Hospital.

"I share these concerns and will do everything I can to support my constituents.

"I have contacted the Scottish Government and Strathclyde Passenger Transport already, and will be raising the issue with NHS Lanarkshire to ensure that they know and understand that a service which helps my constituents access Wishaw General Hospital has suddenly been withdrawn.

"It is already a challenge for my constituents to access NHS services and I will do my utmost to get to the bottom of this unfortunate situation."
