Clydesdales MSP Aileen Campbell has sent her congratulations to the Carluke Development Trust on being awarded ?7150 Awards for All grant. The Trust’s award allows it to run a two day festival celebrating the history of jam making and the musical tradition of the town.

Awards for All Scotland is supported by the Creative Scotland, sportscotland and the Big Lottery Fund. It awards grants of between ?500 and ?10,000 for people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community.

Aileen said:

"I’m delighted Carluke’s Development Trust has been given this award. It’s recognition of the Trust’s hard work in developing and marketing the town, whilst building on the already strong sense of community which exists.

"My congratulations go to David Chadwick and the rest of the team and I look forward to the Jam and Music Festival bearing fruit soon!"
