Clydesdale MSP, Aileen Campbell has echoed calls by Scottish Water urging householders, holiday home owners, businesses, agents and landlords in Clydesdale to take steps to make sure they are ready for winter.

As temperatures begin to drop, Scottish Water has launched its winter campaign encouraging customers to follow their winter code and make sure their properties are protected. Local residents are being urged to take steps to ensure they are prepared for severe weather and have heated, insulated and protected their properties.
Endorsing the message, Aileen Campbell said:
"We must not be lulled into a false sense of security by last year’s relatively mild winter.
"We all know how cold and severe the weather can be in Clydesdale, especially in our more rural and remote areas. It is sensible for us all to make sure we are prepared for the worst the weather can throw at us.
"Scottish Water has a handy guide on their website, which is full of tips on how to help make sure we can significantly reduce the chance of experiencing problems like burst pipes this winter."
