SNP MSP for Clydesdale, Aileen Campbell has welcomed the Scottish Government’s announcement of funding for NHS Lanarkshire’s A&E services.

The ?911,762 boost for NHS Lanarkshire comes as Health Secretary Shona Robison announced that ?9m in investment will be allocated to health boards across the country from the Scottish Government’s Unscheduled Care Fund

Commenting on the announcement, Aileen said:

"The ?900,000 investment in our A&E service highlights the Scottish Government’s commitment to delivering a first class health service.

"We can appreciate the health service faces challenges so it’s reassuring for NHS Lanarkshire to receive this further investment which can support staff in their delivery of quality service to patients. This is a clear signal that the SNP is not complacent over our national health service."
